Description of resource: Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham Campus (BID-Needham) is a 41-bed, acute care community hospital, offering high quality and compassionate community-based health care programs and convenient access to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and other specialty care providers. BID-Needham provides a wide range of sophisticated diagnostic testing services, surgical services provided in a newly renovated surgical suite, "leading edge" care services including Beth Israel Deaconess Cardiology, a Joslin Diabetes Center clinic, Beth Israel Deaconess Cancer Care, the CareGroup Occupational Health Center and an emergency department staffed by the Harvard faculty physicians of the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Department of Emergency Medicine. BID-Needham physicians, health care personnel and social workers collaborate with area nursing facilities and hospice programs to provide the best possible care for patients and their families facing end of life decisions.
