Description of resource: The Soldiers' Home in Holyoke is a State Veteran's Home that operates under a Board of Trustees appointed by the Governor of the Commonwealth. Our mission is to provide quality health care with honor and dignity to all eligible veterans in the Commonwealth. A Comfort Care Unit has been specifically developed to care for veterans who are at the end of life in our Long-Term Care Centers. Medical care including dietary consultation, pharmaceutical services, as well as comfort services such as activities, social service interventions, and appropriate adjunct therapies are provided 7 days a week in conjunction with Hospice Life Care of Western Massachusetts.
